Leo Yao

Leo has got over 20 years of experience working in the UK related to study abroad, visas, immigration, and nationality law. Since entering the industry in 1999, he has specialized in UK immigration law practice, covering areas such as work visas, employer sponsorship licenses, business and investment immigration, Sole Representative, spouse and family reunion visas, visitor visas, student visas, the EU Settlement Scheme, long residence, all types of Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) and naturalization applications.

In 1999, Leo began his career in the UK Visas Department of Shenyang Henterry Overseas Study Service Co., Ltd., providing consultancy on UK education and visas. As a senior expert in UK study agencies, he was invited to appear on Liaoning People's Broadcasting Station’s program "Talks on Studying Abroad," where he answered audience questions regarding UK education and immigration.

From 2011 to 2015, Leo worked as an immigration lawyer at UK-based firms—including Lvda Law Firm and Keyard Law Firm—handling a wide range of cases involving UK visas, immigration, ILR/permanent residency, and naturalization. In 2015, he founded AGSO International Lawyers (UK) Ltd and has since assisted thousands of clients with matters related to UK visas and immigration applications.

Leo has also participated in various China-UK business and immigration projects. In 2016, representing AGSO International Lawyers (UK) Ltd, he attended a China-UK technology enterprise exchange event hosted by the China-Britain Business Council (CBBC) at Canary Wharf, London; participating Chinese enterprises included Alibaba Group, Inspur Group, and Huawei Group etc.

In 2017, serving as a specially invited UK immigration legal consultant, Leo provided legal support regarding financing and Entrepreneur visas to the Unanico Group. Unanico is an internationally renowned independent production company and animation studio; it has participated in the production of major franchises such as *James Bond* (007), *Harry Potter*, and *Peppa Pig*, and has collaborated on international film and television projects including *Star Wars*, *Superman*, and *Batman*. The group maintains offices in Shanghai and Beijing and has partnered with organizations such as Huayi Brothers and Hunan Satellite TV. In addition, in 2012, Leo was invited to participate in the "UK Study and Immigration Summit" hosted by UK-based C-Cube Media, where he engaged with the local Chinese community, international students, and industry professionals regarding UK study, visa, and immigration policies.

Leo’s professional journey spans the entire spectrum of UK immigration services to founding AGSO International Lawyers (UK) Ltd. The firm has longtermly served the UK Chinese community and international clients for their visas and immigrations status in the UK, focusing on delivering clear, reliable, and actionable advice and services.
